June 1st - students return from home & careers schedule ; in the month of june, we will wrap-up the middle ages...and do a show-n-tell project about something for either rome, greece, or the middle ages
NOTE : According to the home & careers schedule, the groups have switched...therefore, i am now working with a different group on map skills
april 23 - june 1st - students will be pulled from social studies for home & careers ; this will happen for a period of two/three weeks for each class (period 3/period 8) ; during this time, i will meet with one group and do map skills ( 2 map packets will count as grades - one a test grade; one a quiz grade)
april 19 - worksheets for Chapter 5 (lessons 1 & 2) - open book quiz for lessons 1 & 2 (europe in the middle ages)
April 16 - Quiz tomorrow for chapter 1, lesson 2 - the beginnings of islam
April 3 - rome test is thursday (april 5th)
February 26 - lesson 4 quiz (sparta) is tomorrow & greek dancing lesson
february 12-15 - ancient greece culture (life) & more about the olympics ; quiz for lesson 3 will be tuesday, feb. 20
February 5-9 - Lesson 2 & quiz on Friday - the topics are religion,philosophy & the arts...basically we will look at the accomplishments & legacies (Like the olympics) January 30 - Feb.1 - begin ancient Greece - quiz for lesson 1 on Friday(feb.2)

november 26 - dec. 1 - fyi for absentees - we are in chapter 2 (mesopotamia) - vocabulary in notebook for lesson 1 & 2
November 1 - new text given out... if absent,please return geography text ; Culture quiz grades posted on thursday
october 28 - today discussed cultural change ; read text lesson 3, chapter 4
october 26 - discuss culture & read story about chinese american culture...tonight write characteristics of american culture (on looseleaf, 10 categories - sports, food, etc)
october 24 - culture of china video quiz (students will identify characteristics of culture & list with categories)
october 23 - culture & video lesson of israel continued today...students will have a video quiz on wednesday
October 17 - tests returned , grades posted this afternoon ; culture lesson & video of india (please get notes, if absent)
